Eclectic Electric

AS A FEMINIST ACTIVIST, MUSICIAN, POET AND WRITER, I ENGAGE WITH SOCIETY THROUGH A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO CREATIVITY AND EXPRESSION.

A selection / samples of my work:

‘I like hanging out with you’ is a more ambient track (heavily influenced by minimalism and sound art) and an attempt to capture my feelings of warmth towards all the people around me. It is also apart of a series of compositions/studies which are pre-occupied with the sun.

‘Bringing You Down’ is an aggressive bassy upbeat track about that moment when one says to oneself ‘that’s it …no more’. A declaration of one’s humanity in the face of oppression. A burst of fire in one’s belly.

‘Hold On’ is a very personal song and music video in which the landscape of Roker Pier (a place I used to visit as a child) morphs in to my fragmented dreams and anxieties.

‘Tribute to E15 Mothers’ is an explicitly political track in support of the E15 Occupation and the Focus E15 campaign for social housing.
